Finn and her companions have returned from the Archtree, only to find a city in ruins. The Reivers have advanced into the countryside to be met by the overwhelming forces of the Faie. A Fiach is divided, unable to focus on a sole threat. Finn must reach the place where it all began, her peaceful meadow in Greenswallow, only hoping to set right the wrongs of her past.
